B\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7ekmece&#8217;de bir otelin konferans salonunda d\u00fczenlenen etkinli\u011fe, tarih\u00e7i-yazar Sinan Meydan da kat\u0131ld\u0131. Sayg\u0131 duru\u015funda bulunulmas\u0131 ve \u0130stiklal Mar\u015f\u0131\u2019n\u0131n okunmas\u0131yla ba\u015flayan programda a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u015f konu\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n ard\u0131ndan, Sinan Meydan g\u00fcn\u00fcn anlam\u0131na dair s\u00f6yle\u015fi yapt\u0131. Program\u0131n sonunda Ba\u015fkan Akg\u00fcn, Sinan Meydan&#8217;a \u00e7i\u00e7ek hediye etti. T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti ebediyen ya\u015fayacak ama onu ya\u015fatmak i\u00e7in de var g\u00fcc\u00fcm\u00fczle bizler ve bizden sonrakiler \u00e7ok \u00e7al\u0131\u015farak Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk&#8217;\u00fcn hedef olarak g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f medeniyete ula\u015fmak \u015fart\u0131yla&#8221; dedi. Cumhuriyetle ya\u015fanan kazan\u0131mlar\u0131 anlatan Akg\u00fcn, &#8220;Cumhuriyet, T\u00fcrk demokrasiyle insan olmay\u0131 ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncemizde h\u00fcr bir \u015fekilde ifade etmeyi ve \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f medeniyetle tan\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 bizlere sa\u011flad\u0131.
